Introduction of Astan-e-Quds Razavi

Thanks to the Islamic management of the great custodianship of Astane-e-Quds, Ayattollah Vaez Tabasi, and in the shade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, striking evolutions have occurred in different fields. After Islamic Revolution of Iran, this organization has played a leading role in various areas and in comparison with the past, a significant advancement has been observed in its activities. 
Focusing on cultural and spiritual affairs, Astan-e-Quds performs its major activities based on donators’ requests and general needs of the society. The organization is distributed in 6 deputy directing departments, a general office, an economic institution, 14 cultural, scientific, educational and social foundations in national and international environments.

Vast activities in Astan-e-Quds contributing to cultural and Islamic ethics propagation are as follows:
Before the Islamic Revolution of Iran, cultural, scientific, educational and social foundations of Astan-e-Quds had only a library with less than 5000 books, a museum and a cultural affairs office. 
Currently, due to importance of objectives and cultural programs, Astan-e-Quds managed to successfully establish different cultural, scientific, .educational, research and cultural institutions. In each of these institutions, vast spiritual and cultural activities are being performed

Razavi Sub-specialty Hospital

The 320-bed Razavi Sub-specialty Hospital was built in an area of approximately 4,000,000 square meters with a build-up area of 56,000 square meters distributed in 5 floors.
Having access to the latest medical equipment, experienced physicians and medical team treatment facilities, as well as observing religious standards are among unique features of Razavi Sub-specialty Hospital.

Different sections of the hospital include CSR unit, MRI unit, nuclear medicine, endoscopy, urgency, specialized clinics (check-up, Holter monitoring, dentistry, ENT, pain, gynecology, painless delivery, internal medicine), laboratory, radiology (plain, digital, mammography, Panorex, and bone mineral densitometry), sonography (fixed and mobile), CT scan, CT angiography, pharmacy, cardiac rehabilitation ward, central operation rooms, cath lab, ICUs (open heart-surgery), surgery ward, maternity block, NICU, cardiac department including cardiac ward I and II, CCU and cardiac surgery, echocardiography, exercise test, and pace maker. 
The hospital offers its inpatient rooms in 4 different types equipped with nursing call system, nursing cares, library, infected wastes sterilization unit, welfare facilities for personnel, hospital administration system (HIS), building management system (BMS) and advanced tele-communication system.
The construction of the hospital is according to the best architectonic methods and highest standards were observed in designing and establishing of hospital apparatus using prominent domestic and foreign consultants; accordingly, the building is resistant to natural disasters.

Imam Reza University

This university is training more than 1400 students in 8 different majors. Publishing more than 135 books in 800000 volumes and being awarded in Kharazmi and Ferdowsi Festivals are among the achievements of the university. It is worth mentioning that Imam Reza University is ranked among the most reputable non-governmental universities in Iran in terms of cultural, educational, research and welfare standards as well as computer center and number of publications. One of the most important accomplishments of Imam Reza University was constructing and establishing Razavi Sub-specialty Hospital by attempt of the great custodianship of Astan-e-Quds. Founding Razavi Hospital as a remarkable research, educational and healthcare center, the university is transforming to an effective and prominent hub in medical fields and scientific studies.

Economic Organization of Astan Quds Razavi was founded in 2003 in order to optimally manage dependant companies and institutions and obtain incomes so that it can meet constructive and cultural costs of the whole organization along with offering better services to pilgrims.

After the victory of Islamic Revolution, to repair and redecorate, old bricks were removed from the dome surface and overlaid by a cement layer, and then they were replaced by copper bricks with golden layer. It is noteworthy to know these silver and golden bricks have covered an area of 700 m2.
The silver and golden zarih is the 5th one which is placed on Imam Reza’s tomb. The mentioned zarih is one of the masterpieces of Iranian Islamic Art that was unveiled in 2000.

Holy shrine of Hussein-ibn-i-Musa al-Kazem (A.S.) and martyr Mudarres mausoleum

Construction of multi-purposed halls, museum, family residential accomodations, library, etc. on dozens square meters dedicating to worshipping and pilgrimage space in Tabas and Kashmar cities are among the main activities of Astan Quds Razavi in Southern Khurasan.

This company has published over 1700 titles of book on religion, literature, history, geography, sports, language, psychology, as well as many books for children and teenagers.

Astan Quds Razavi physical Exercise Institution

Enjoying a 16000 m2 sport complex, as one of the best-equipped and most entertaining sport centers in Iran, Astan Quds Razavi has been able to create a secure and favorable environment for families and sports enthusiasts.
Sport facilities of the complex include: men and women water complexes, traditional sports, soccer fields, multi-purpose halls, track cycling, track and field, a stadium with the capacity of 30 spectators, and so on.

Islamic Research Foundation

This foundation was built in an area of 24000 square meters. Benefiting from scientific services of about 135 researchers and scientists in 16 different specialized groups and being active in authoring, translating and correcting Islamic texts, the foundation played a significant role in restoring and publishing Quranic sciences. Publication of about 7580000 books with 1006 titles of book and being awarded for 50 publications in different festivals are among the honors of the foundation.

Organization of Libraries, Museums and Center of Deeds

This organization includes the following sections:
Astan Quds Central Library: Having more than 1300000 printed books on different fields, about 40000 stone printed books, 78000 handwritten manuscripts, more than 70000 foreign books in 69 languages, around 7000000 pages of historical documents, 1000000 magazines in Persian and other languages, technical, scientific and research quarterly journal, “library and information science” and more than 120000 library members and a building with an area of 28800 square meters is one of the richest, largest and most reliable libraries and centers of deeds in Iran and around the world.

Affiliated libraries to Astan Quds:
Currently, more than 40 libraries in the country and one library in India are affiliated to the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Center of Deeds. Containing more than 1250000 printed books and about 21000 handwritten manuscripts, these libraries are capable of offering services to more than 160000 library members.

Museums of Astan Quds Razavi

Museums of Astan Quds Razavi contains 3 museums and 12 treasure museums under the titles of Quranic Treasures Museum, the Museum of the Gifts Presented by the Paramount Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran To Astan Quds Razavi, the Museum of the Finest Carpets, the Museum of the History of Mashhad, the Museum of Coins and Medals, Stamp and Bank-note Museum, utensils made of chinaware, Barfatan lamps, warfare objects, astronomical clocks and tools, visual arts, shell and snail, decorations and arrays of architectural treasures (under construction), Museum of Anthropology, Malek National Museum in Tehran and Vaziri Museum in Yazd.
